Overview
Ore (Silver) (ItemSilverOre) in Stationeers: ore, hash -916518678, stack 50. With recipe.
Silver ore is rare: weight 10 in the underground profile. If you find a vein, it is worth it, though, since one extraction yields 5 to 9 pieces. Every piece contains 1 unit of silver.
Silver itself is only used directly in about 20 recipes, mostly for the medium gas filters of the pipe bender. It matters much more as an alloy ingredient: Ingot (Electrum) needs 50 % silver, and then there are the super alloys hastelloy (50 %), stellite (25 %) and Ingot (Waspaloy) (25 %). If you plan super alloys, you need a lot of silver.
To an ingot: in the Arc Furnace 5 s and 1,000 J per ingot, in the gas furnace from 600 K and 100 kPa. When melting, every piece releases 0.4 mol of Nitrogen, 1 mol of Nitrous Oxide and 1 mol of Pollutant. Nitrous oxide is an oxidiser – watch where your exhaust goes.
The super alloy recipes are in Super alloys in the advanced furnace.
