What you learn today
- All levels at a glance
- What you can do now
- Where to go next
On the first day you wrote move r0 42 and wondered where the 42 was now. Today your code controls a whole base, talks to rockets and reports when another chip hangs. Time for a look back.
The four levels
| Level | Months | Core |
|---|---|---|
| beginner | 1–3 | registers, devices, LogicTypes, loop with yield, jumps, hysteresis, define and alias |
| advanced | 4–6 | slots, batch, states, stack, subroutines, state machines, controllers, airlock |
| pro | 7–9 | trigonometry, solar, power, furnaces, fabrication, sorters, logistics, greenhouse |
| expert | 10–12 | bits, data, chip networks, algorithms, optimisation, debugging, robustness, rockets, big projects |
What you can do now
- Control a device without it fluttering every second.
- Lead every sensor failure into a safe state.
- Spread a task over several chips that watch each other.
- Read someone else's script, find its errors and prove that they are fixed.
- Plan a system so that someone still understands it in half a year – including you.
How it continues
The academy ends on day 365 with the last exam. After that the work really begins: build the base automation in your world, subsystem by subsystem. Share good scripts in the library and read what others have written. And when a game update comes, check your scripts against the new lists before the base does.
Today's exercise has one line for every level: a lever switches the light, a hysteresis the heater, a batch instruction reads two batteries, and everything ends up in one status word:
move wort light # bit 0: beginner
ins wort heat 1 1 # bit 1: advanced
snan tmp t
ins wort tmp 2 1 # bit 2: sensor missing
slt tmp akku AKKU_TIEF
ins wort tmp 3 1 # bit 3: battery low
Review days and exam preparation can be reopened at any time. Whoever wants to close a gap before day 365 finds it via the week overview.
Exercise
Task
One chip from all levels. Beginner: lever “Jahr_Schalter” switches the grow light “Jahr_Licht”. Advanced: heater “Jahr_Raum” by sensor “Jahr_Raum”, on below 18 °C, off above 21 °C, off without sensor. Pro: display “Jahr_Akku” shows the mean of the batteries “Jahr_Akku” in percent, -1 without battery. Expert: Logic Memory “Jahr_Status” = bit 0 light, bit 1 heater, bit 2 sensor missing, bit 3 battery below 20 %.
Hints
Hint 1
Turn the lever into 0 or 1 with sgtz, then straight to the light.
Hint 2
Hysteresis as in the first month; NaN switches it off on its own via sle.
Hint 3
Status word with move for bit 0 and ins three times.
Quiz
3 questions. You pass from 60 % – the server does the grading.
