Nickel ore is rare (weight 10) but yields 5 to 9 pieces per extraction. Every piece contains 1 unit of nickel.
Nickel is a pure alloy material: according to the recipe data no printer uses nickel directly. Instead it is part of five alloys – more than any other basic metal:
- Ingot (Invar) and Ingot (Constantan) with 50 % each,
- hastelloy, Ingot (Inconel) and waspaloy with 25 % each.
You need constantan for the printer mods, so you will not get far without nickel.
To an ingot: in the Arc Furnace 5 s and 1,000 J, in the gas furnace from 800 K and 100 kPa. When melting, every piece releases 0.5 mol of Nitrogen, 1 mol of Carbon Dioxide and 1 mol of Pollutant.
