From the game's ingredients – vegetables and fruit from the greenhouse, flour, sugar, cocoa powder and soy oil from the mill, milk, eggs and cheese – you cook 18 dishes and mix 18 drinks. Three machines do the work: the Auto Kitchen cooks, the Drinks Dispenser prepares drinks in mugs and bottles, the Sealing Machine seals both so nothing spoils. Everything has its own model and appears in English or German, depending on the game language.
Requirements
- Stationeers 0.2.6428, BepInEx 5.4.23.5, StationeersLaunchPad 1.0, see Installation
- Mod in the active mod pack
- In multiplayer: server and all players with the same version
- Optional: Skill & Level System – cooking, mixing and sealing give XP there
Quick start
- Print the "Auto Kitchen" kit in the Electronics Printer (tier 1) and place it on the floor (1 × 0.5 m). Rotate before building with C + mouse wheel.
- Connect a cable (power + data) at the back and a liquid pipe with pure water on the left.
- Main switch on, put ingredients into the six slots.
- Choose a recipe with RECIPE back/next – or leave it at 0 = AUTO-DETECT.
- MODE SINGLE (default): every press of START cooks exactly one portion. MODE CONTINUOUS: after START the machine keeps cooking as long as everything is there – until STOP.
- The finished dish waits in the output slot or drops into the chute on the right.
Drinks work the same way in the Drinks Dispenser – plus an empty mug (hot drinks) or an empty bottle (cold drinks) in the container slot. Mugs, bottles, sealing foil and caps come from the Autolathe.
Recipes
The number is also the value for Setting (IC10) and is shown on the display. "Water (pipe)" is drawn from the water pipe while cooking; without water the machine pauses and waits. Shelf life applies to open food at 20 °C in air – a fridge keeps everything much longer, sealed food does not spoil.

For comparison, the game's values: muffin 215, bread 340, burger 400 (mood 100 %), cake 300, canned soups 100–200. Dishes of this mod are about 1.6 to 2.5 times their raw ingredients and at most 400. Half a litre of water gives 2.5 hydration – no drink is better than water.
Eating and drinking
- Eating: dish in hand, right click – like a muffin you eat until you are full; the rest stays for later. If it is sealed, open it first (see below). The game itself calculates nutrition, food quality (cooked, best, preserved) and mood.
- Drinking: drink in hand, right click. A sip is part of the filling; when it is empty, the empty mug or bottle stays in your hand and can go back into the Drinks Dispenser.
- Pick-me-up: grain coffee, grain latte (90 s), hot chocolate (60 s, weak) and the energy drink (120 s, strong) use the game's stim effect: grogginess and stun wear off faster. At most three pick-me-ups work at the same time.
- Detox: fern tea lowers toxic damage by 8 points, fern iced tea by 3.
- Everything can be weakened or switched off in the settings (see below).
Shelf life and sealing
Open dishes and drinks spoil like the game's food – it uses the temperature, pressure and gases around them: faster in warm air, much slower in a fridge. Spoiled food turns into the game's "Spoiled Food".
The Sealing Machine seals every full dish with one sealing foil (foil hood, pizza box, clip on the bag) and every full drink with one sealing cap. Sealed food does not spoil (setting VersiegeltVerderbProzent). To open it, hold right click for 1.5 s until the bar is full – letting go earlier opens nothing. Then eat or drink as usual. Sealed packages show foil or cap on the model, the tooltip says "sealed".
Auto Kitchen
| Size | 1 × 0.5 m, 1.25 m high, floor device |
| Power | 800 W while cooking, 10 W idle |
| Connections | power + data at the back (one cable, floor level); water in on the left (liquid pipe); chute in at the top back; chute out on the right |
| Slots | 6 ingredient slots, 1 output slot |
| Kit | Electronics Printer tier 1: iron 20, steel 10, copper 10, gold 2, silicon 4 |
Buttons: main switch, RECIPE back / next (0 = AUTO-DETECT, 1–21), START, STOP, MODE, PAGE (or tap the display). The display (four lines, at eye level) has four pages: state with recipe, progress, what is missing and mode; ingredients 1–3; ingredients 4–6 with water; statistics. Three LEDs show power, work and fault.
Modes:
| START | STOP | Display | |
|---|---|---|---|
| SINGLE | exactly one portion; if something is running, an ingredient is missing or the output is full, the machine beeps and queues nothing | – | "SINGLE" |
| CONTINUOUS | continuous operation on: cooks as long as everything is there and otherwise waits for supplies (e.g. from the chute) | continuous operation off; a running portion still finishes (its ingredients are already used), then nothing new starts | "CONTIN." (green) or "STOPPED" |
MODE switches the mode and always stops. New machines start in SINGLE.
AUTO-DETECT: with recipe 0 the machine looks at all recipes it has everything for and picks the one with the most different ingredients, on a tie the harder one. Put in dough, tomato sauce, cheese and mushroom and you get pizza, not tomato sauce.
Loading: ingredient in hand, click a slot – if something else is already there, it goes onto the matching stack or into the next free slot instead of swapping. Or insert it at the chute opening (CHUTE IN): the machine sorts it in like from a chute.
Process: on start the machine takes all ingredients from the slots and draws the water while cooking. Time only runs with power and water. If the dish is done and the output slot is occupied (no chute), it waits inside until there is room. Egg cartons may go in whole – their eggs count.
Drinks Dispenser
| Size | 0.5 × 0.5 m, 1.25 m high, floor device |
| Power | 500 W while preparing, 10 W idle |
| Connections | power + data at the back; water in on the left; chute in at the top back (ingredients and empty containers); chute out on the right |
| Slots | 3 ingredient slots, container supply (empty mugs and bottles only), output under the spout |
| Kit | Electronics Printer tier 1: iron 15, steel 5, copper 8, gold 2, silicon 4 |
Controls as on the Auto Kitchen (recipes 1–18, SINGLE/CONTINUOUS, START, STOP, MODE); tap the display for the next page. Hot drinks (1–5) go into a mug (0.3 L), cold drinks (6–18) into a bottle (0.5 L). On start the machine takes the container from the supply: it stands under the spout, the stream runs into it and the level rises in the colour of the drink; when done, the real drink lies there or goes into the chute. Without the right container the display shows "MISSING: Empty Bottle" or "Empty Mug".
Sealing Machine
| Size | 1 × 0.5 m, floor device |
| Power | 300 W while sealing (4 s each), 10 W idle |
| Connections | power + data at the back; chute in on the left; chute out on the right |
| Slots | input, press, output, sealing foil magazine, cap magazine |
| Kit | Electronics Printer tier 1: iron 15, steel 10, copper 6, gold 2 |
Buttons START, STOP, MODE; tap the display for the next page. SINGLE: every START takes exactly one item from the input tray into the press. CONTINUOUS: after START everything that arrives is sealed, until STOP (the item in the press still finishes). The item glides along the conveyor into the press, the stamp and its piston rod come down and rest on the package. Anything that cannot be sealed – already sealed, partly eaten or not a dish/drink of this mod – passes through to the output without material. So the machine can simply sit in a chute line. Foil and caps arriving by chute are sorted into the magazines.
Containers and material (Autolathe, tier 1)
| Item | Cost | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Empty Mug | iron 1 | 1 (stack 10) |
| Empty Bottle | silicon 1 | 1 (stack 10) |
| Sealing Foil | silicon 1 | 10 (stack 50) |
| Sealing Caps | iron 1 | 10 (stack 50) |
Chutes and automation
- By hand: put into any input slot or insert at the chute opening (click with the item in hand) – it is sorted in like from a chute.
- Chute in: ingredients are sorted into matching slots – same ones onto one stack, new ones into the first free slot –, empty mugs and bottles into the container supply. If no slot is free, the ingredient waits at the end of the chute. Anything that is not an ingredient is passed on to the chute out.
- Chute out: finished dishes and drinks go into the chute; without a chute they stay in the output slot.
- A typical line: sorter → Auto Kitchen → Sealing Machine → fridge or storage. With AUTO-DETECT the machine cooks whatever arrives.
IC10
All three machines are logic devices on the data cable. Address them with lbn/sbn and the name from the labeller.

Multiplayer and saves
- The server (or host) calculates cooking, spoilage and sealing; display, state, seals, filling, stamp and sounds are the same for all players, including those who join later.
- Machines, slots, running recipes, counters and sealed packages are saved.
- The game's food, devices and recipes stay unchanged. Existing saves load as usual.
- If you remove the mod again, its dishes, drinks and machines disappear from the save – everything else stays.
- Fridges, storage, sorters and chutes handle dishes and drinks like the game's food. Traders: the dishes have a trade value; the mod does not add its own buy requests to traders.
Other mods
With the Skill & Level System cooking, mixing and sealing give XP; eating and drinking count like any food. For mod authors there is a small public interface (MehrFoodSchnittstelle: events "recipe cooked", "drink prepared", "sealed", "consumed" with name and difficulty 1–5).
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Display "water missing" | Connect the water pipe on the left; it must be liquid, pure water (no polluted water, no steam, not frozen). |
| Display "ingredient missing" | Page 2/3 shows what is missing; IC10 get address 1 and 2 return prefab hash and amount. |
| Display "no container" | Put an empty mug (recipes 1–5) or empty bottle (6–18) into the container slot – from the Autolathe. |
| Display "output full" | Empty the output slot or connect a chute on the right. |
| AUTO-DETECT cooks the wrong thing | Choose a fixed recipe (RECIPE next) or take ingredients for other recipes out of the slots. |
| START only beeps | In SINGLE a START that is not possible right now (already running, ingredient missing, output full) is rejected – nothing is queued. The reason is on the display. |
| Machine keeps cooking | Mode CONTINUOUS: press STOP or set MODE to SINGLE. An IC10 chip can also start it with Activate 1. |
| No sound | Volume "Effects" in the game settings; sounds carry about 20 m. |
| Sealing Machine only passes items through | Only full, open dishes and drinks of this mod are sealed. Put foil or caps into the magazine. |
| A dish cannot be eaten | Sealed? Hold right click for 1.5 s until the bar is full. Full? Then it waits for later. |
| Machine does not react to IC10 | Data cable at the back, name in lbn/sbn exactly as in the labeller, main switch on. |
| Other players see no models | Everyone needs the same mod version in the active mod pack. |
