One line instead of three. The Fluix Line (Fluix-Leitung) carries a gas pipe, a liquid pipe and a power cable bundled in one cell. Each of the three is a real game part with its own network: pressure, bursting, temperature, gas mixture and cable network behave as in the game, and so do saving and multiplayer. The three networks stay separate, nothing mixes. The bundle has its own design with flanges, clamps, carrier rods and junction boxes. Names and Stationpedia texts appear in German or English, depending on the game language.
Overview
| Line | Position in the bundle | Properties |
|---|---|---|
| Gas pipe | top | insulated, grey with white bands, pressure limit like a normal gas pipe (60,795 kPa) |
| Power cable | middle | Fluix Line: up to 500 kW, red-orange. Fluix Line Unlimited: no limit, glowing cyan |
| Liquid pipe | bottom | insulated, blue, pressure limit like a normal liquid pipe (6,079.5 kPa) |
Two versions
| Version | Power | On overload |
|---|---|---|
| Fluix Line | up to 500 kW like the super heavy cable | only the cable in the bundle burns, gas and liquid stay in the pipes |
| Fluix Line Unlimited | no limit | never burns out; game cables and fuses in the same network still limit it |
If you only need power, you don't need a bundle: Extreme Cable (10 MW) and Power Cable+ (unlimited) are available as single lines.
Requirements
- Stationeers 0.2.6428, BepInEx 5.4.23.5, StationeersLaunchPad 1.0, see Installation
- Mod in the active mod pack
- In multiplayer: the server and all players
Building and recipes
Both kits come from the Hydraulic Pipe Bender, tier 2:
| Kit | Cost |
|---|---|
| Kit (Fluix Line) | 3 steel, 2 silicon, 1 constantan, 1 electrum (15 s, 2500 J) |
| Kit (Fluix Line Unlimited) | 3 steel, 2 silicon, 1 constantan, 1 electrum, 0.5 inconel, 0.5 hastelloy (20 s, 4000 J) |
For comparison: an insulated gas pipe, an insulated liquid pipe and a super heavy cable cost 2 steel, 2 silicon, 0.5 constantan and 0.5 electrum together.
Shapes
Each kit builds every shape. The kits used match the insulated pipe:
| Shape | Kits |
|---|---|
| straight | 1 |
| corner | 1 |
| T-junction | 2 |
| cross | 2 |
| corner with outlet | 2 |
| 5-way | 3 |
| 6-way | 3 |
| T-junction with outlet | 3 |
| straight, 3 cells | 3 |
| straight, 5 cells | 4 |
| straight, 10 cells | 8 |
| Fluix Splitter (gas, liquid or power straight on) | 2 |
Building and taking down
- Take the kit in your hand. Right-click opens the shape selection, the mouse wheel picks the shape.
- One click builds all three lines at once.
- Merging works like with pipes: wrench in the other hand, then build onto an existing bundle. It turns into the matching junction. This works with the eight basic shapes of the same version, not with long straights and splitters.
- Taking down with the wrench removes the whole bundle and returns the kit. The pipe contents go to the neighbouring networks, as with game pipes.
- If a pipe has burst or the cable has burnt out, you get nothing back, just like in the game. With the setting
BausatzBeiSchadena damaged bundle returns its kit too.
Looking at the bundle shows gas (pressure, temperature), liquid (pressure, temperature) and power (load and limit). Above 90 % of the limit the power line turns orange. If a part is missing, it says "Bundle incomplete"; if a part is broken, "Bundle damaged".
Nothing else fits into a bundle cell: no other pipe or cable and no inline devices such as valves, pipe heaters or pipe labels.
Connecting
Bundle to bundle
All three lines connect, each with its counterpart.
Devices
- Gas and power ports connect directly to the bundle.
- Liquid ports (pumps, tanks, filters and so on) do too, as long as the setting
FluessigDirektis on (default). If it is off, plain game behaviour applies: the device can't see the liquid line, so put a normal liquid pipe between device and bundle. - When you build next to a liquid port, the build tooltip shows a hint line: blue if the device connects directly, orange if a normal liquid pipe has to go in between.
Game pipes and cables
Normal pipes and cables connect end to end. The neighbouring cell only has one pipe slot, though. So only one game line fits at the end of a bundle. For all three there is the Fluix Splitter.
Any cable fits the power outlet, including Extreme Cable and Power Cable+. If you want to continue without a limit after the splitter, use Power Cable+. Any other cable sets its limit for the whole network.
Fluix Splitter
- The bundle comes in from the back. One line continues straight on, the other two go left and right.
- Three versions: gas, liquid or power straight on.
- Rotate it like any part, also upside down. Then the side outlets point up and down.
- Game pipe, game liquid pipe and game cable connect at the outlets.
- A splitter costs 2 kits and cannot be merged.
Steam Power
Fluix bundles can be built directly onto the water and condensate ports of the Steam Power devices. Normally Steam Power only allows liquid pipes there. Water and condensate then run through the bundle's liquid pipe, as long as FluessigDirekt is on. The steam port connects to the bundle's gas pipe.
Overload, heat and bursting
- Fluix Line (500 kW): above 500 kW only the cable in the bundle burns out, with sparks as in the game. Gas pipe and liquid pipe keep their contents untouched, no gas is lost. The look-at tooltip shows "cable burnt out". The burnt cable connects to nothing any more. Take the bundle down with the wrench and build a new one.
- Fluix Line Unlimited: never burns out from overload. A network still breaks at its weakest part, though: if a game cable, a fuse or a piece of the 500 kW Fluix Line sits in the same network, its limit applies and that part burns.
- Fireproof casing: game cables ignite by themselves from about 300 °C, the bundle does not. A cable fire from overload only hits the power part.
- Bursting: gas pipe and liquid pipe burst under too much pressure like game pipes and then show their own burst model. Here too: take it down and build a new one.
Console commands
Open the console with F3.
| Command | Effect |
|---|---|
fluix | overview: bundle pieces per version, of those splitters, damaged and incomplete ones |
fluix pruefen | reports bundles whose parts are not complete: part missing, in the wrong slot of the cell or of another shape |
fluix reparieren | puts missing parts back, only on the host or server, or in single player |
fluix reparieren does not repair burnt cables or burst pipes. Take those bundles down and build them again. Instead of pruefen and reparieren you can also type check and repair.
Configuration
File: BepInEx\config\dominik1199.fluix.cfg, or through the mod settings in LaunchPad.
| Key | Default | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| FluessigDirekt | on | devices with a liquid port connect directly to the liquid line of a bundle. Off = plain game behaviour, then put a normal liquid pipe in between. In multiplayer the host decides. |
| BauHinweis | on | hint line in the build tooltip next to liquid ports |
| BausatzBeiSchaden | off | burst or burnt bundles also return their kit when taken down. The host decides. |
Multiplayer
New parts: the server and all players need the mod. Each line in the bundle is a normal game part; building, saving and joining work like with game pipes. See Multiplayer.
Known limitations
- Pipe analyser, pipe labels and network cartridge only see the gas pipe. The look-at tooltip shows all three lines.
- The cable gun and the electrical belt don't take the kit.
- Only one game line fits at the end of a bundle. For more, use the splitter.
- Long straights and splitters can't be merged, and neither can different versions.
- Freely rotated pieces (tilted, vertical transitions) may look offset at the flange. That is only visual; the networks connect through the cells.
- If you merge a piece that lies on its own, its pipe contents can be lost, as with game pipes.
- Without the mod all bundles disappear from the save. Back up your saves first.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Pump or tank can't find the liquid line | FluessigDirekt is off | turn the setting on or put a normal liquid pipe in between |
| A second game line doesn't fit at the bundle end | the neighbouring cell only has one pipe slot | place a Fluix Splitter |
| Bundle can't be built | the cell already holds a pipe, cable or other part | clear the cell |
| Merging doesn't work | long straight, splitter, other version, damaged bundle or not enough kits | build the matching shape new, add kits |
| Tooltip: "cable burnt out" | overload above 500 kW | take the bundle down and build it again; for more power use the Fluix Line Unlimited |
| A Fluix Line Unlimited network still burns | game cable, fuse or 500 kW bundle in the same network | lay it unlimited all the way or separate thinner networks with a transformer |
| Tooltip: "Bundle incomplete" | a part is missing | console fluix reparieren |
| Tooltip: "Bundle damaged" | pipe burst or cable burnt out | take it down and build it again |
| No kit after taking it down | the bundle was damaged | normal, as with game pipes; otherwise turn on BausatzBeiSchaden |
| Pipe analyser only shows gas | it only sees the gas pipe | use the look-at tooltip |
| Steam Power device doesn't take water from the bundle | FluessigDirekt is off | turn the setting on |
