Deep Miner Ice – Guide

The Deep Miner also mines ice. Modes, ice types with weighting, planet filter and why the mod only belongs on the server.

Last changed: Oct 7, 2026

v1.0.0 Deep Miner Ice

From now on the Deep Miner also drills for ice: water ice, oxite, nitrice, volatiles or any pure ice type you like. This works for both the electric and the combustion Deep Miner. There are no new devices; the mod only changes what comes out of the borehole.

Requirements

  • Stationeers 0.2.6428, BepInEx 5.4.23.5, StationeersLaunchPad 1.0, see Installation
  • Mod in the active mod pack
  • A built Deep Miner

How it works

On a share of the drilling cycles, a stack of ice comes out of the export chute.

ModeBehavior
Zusaetzlich ("additional", default)The ice comes on top, the normal amount of ore stays the same.
Ersetzen ("replace")A cycle delivers either ore or ice.

Which types, how often and how much: all of it is configurable, even while the game is running.

Configuration

LaunchPad → mod settings, or BepInEx\config\dominik1199.deepminereis.cfg:

KeyDefaultMeaning
Aktivonmod on/off
ModusZusaetzlichZusaetzlich (additional) or Ersetzen (replace)
Chance0.3share of drilling cycles with ice, 0 to 1
SortenItemIce:4,ItemOxite:2,ItemNitrice:2,ItemVolatiles:2ice types with weighting
MengeMin10smallest stack size per delivery
MengeMax20largest stack size, capped at the ice type's maximum stack
NurPlanetenemptyonly active on these worlds; empty = everywhere

Types and weighting

Format: PrefabName:weight, comma-separated. The weights are relative. With the default ItemIce:4,ItemOxite:2,ItemNitrice:2,ItemVolatiles:2, water ice is therefore twice as common as each of the other three types.

All ice prefabs are allowed, for example:

PrefabType
ItemIceIce (water)
ItemOxiteOxite
ItemNitriceNitrice
ItemVolatilesVolatiles
ItemPureIceOxygenpure oxygen ice
ItemPureIceNitrogenpure nitrogen ice
ItemPureIceCarbonDioxidepure CO2 ice
ItemPureIceHydrogenpure hydrogen ice

Example with a focus on oxygen:

ItemOxite:5,ItemPureIceOxygen:3,ItemIce:2

Planet filter

NurPlaneten expects the game's world IDs, comma-separated. Upper and lower case don't matter, but the name has to match exactly.

PlanetWorld ID
MarsMars2
EuropaEuropa3
MoonLunar
MimasMimasHerschel
VenusVenus
VulcanVulcan, Vulcan2

Example: only on Mars and Europa:

Mars2,Europa3
Warning

A plain Mars does not match Mars2. In that case the mod is active on no planet at all, and the Deep Miner only delivers ore.

IC10

No values of its own. The Deep Miner's existing LogicType ExportCount counts the ice deliveries as well.

Console commands

None.

Multiplayer

The mod runs only on the host or server. Players don't need it. The server's settings apply.

Known limitations

  • On hot planets (Vulcan, Venus), ice that lands on the ground melts. Route the export chute straight into a Silo, a Stacker or a Sorter.
  • In Zusaetzlich mode, more comes out of the chute. The output has to be able to take it.

Troubleshooting
